Additionally, the business shut down three YouTube channels that had been posting sensational information in Chinese about the conflict in the Ukraine and the ties between Taiwan and mainland China.
In the course of looking into coordinated influence efforts tied to Azerbaijan, the business also shut down 57 YouTube channels in Brazil and 515 YouTube channels worldwide.
As part of its investigation into coordinated influence efforts connected to China, Google announced it "terminated 1 AdSense account and barred 1 domain from eligibility to appear on Google News surfaces."
In its third quarter (Q3) report, Google-owned YouTube announced last month that it had removed more than 1.7 million videos from India for breaking its Community Guidelines.
Over 5.6 million videos were taken down worldwide during the same time period for breaking the streaming service's community guidelines.
According to the Community Guidelines Enforcement report more than 94 per cent of these videos were first flagged by machines rather than humans.
